Jochen Lobe

Jochen Lobe (born on August 14, 1937 in Ratibor , Upper Silesia Province ) is a German writer.

Life

As a seven-year-old Lobe experienced the expulsion from Silesia , which later became the subject of his poems. From 1945 the family lived in Bayreuth and Hof , where Lobe attended high school. After graduating from high school, he studied German, history and geography for teaching in Erlangen and Frankfurt am Main . From 1968 to 2000 he was a teacher at the Christian-Ernestinum high school in Bayreuth. In 1970 a first booklet with texts was published, since then Lobe has published poems, prose, reviews and essays in monographs, anthologies, newspapers and magazines and has written various radio reports. From the mid-1980s he became known as the author of modern, critical dialect poetry. From 1969 to 1975 Lobe headed the Bayreuth Literary Forum.
