Jochen Nieder-Schabbehard

Hans-Jochen Nieder-Schabbehard (* 1919 in Cologne ; † 2004 ) was a German artist and advertiser .

After working at the underwear and lingerie manufacturers Felina and Schiesser , Nieder-Schabbehard was advertising manager at Kaufhof AG from 1958 to 1980 . During this time, the member of the Presidential Council of the Central Committee of the Advertising Industry shaped the advertising of small and medium-sized companies . Among other things, he translated the book Effective Ads for Retail by the American author Morris L. Rosenblum from English into German. For this achievement he was the first to receive the Dr. Kurt Neven DuMont medal awarded. After his time as an advertiser, the qualified sculptor devoted his time primarily to art. He produced pictures, lithographs and woodcuts, which were presented in numerous galleries and exhibitions.
