Tyniec Mały (German: Klein Tinz ; 1903-1945 Tinz ) is a village in the rural community Kobierzyce in the powiat Wrocławski in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Poland .

history

The earliest documented mention goes back to 1193.

On February 10, 1945, the place was occupied by the Red Army . As a result of the Second World War , Tinz, like almost all of Silesia, fell to Poland and was renamed Tyniec Mały. Unless they had already evacuated or fled, the German population was expelled .

The Catholic Church in Tyniec Mały
  • The Church of the Assumption , first mentioned in 1353, was originally St. Dedicated to Hedwig. 1493–1516 it was rebuilt in the late Gothic style. From the end of the 16th century until 1654 it served as a Protestant church. In 1752 a reconstruction took place, whereby a vestibule was built and the tower was added. Extensive renovation work took place in 1931. The main altar was rebuilt in 1931 using baroque figures. The rococo tabernacle and the pulpit date from 1756.
  • Late Gothic wayside shrine.
