Jochen Rudi

Jochen Rudi (born July 15, 1949 in Frohburg ) is a German businessman and former president of 1. FC Dynamo Dresden .

Life

Rudi was born in Frohburg near Leipzig . The family fled to West Germany in 1960 and settled in Schorndorf . Rudi completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk and went into business for himself in 1980: He founded the Rudi Fixing Technology company in Olgastraße in Schorndorf. In the early 1990s, Rudi moved to Dresden , where he worked with the former CEO of Daimler-Benz AG, Prof. Dr. Werner Breitschwerdt took over the Erhardt Fahrzeugwerk Dresden GmbH. He led this and Erhardt Fahrzeugbau Ilsenburg GmbH, which later emerged from Rono Systemtechnik GmbH, as managing partner until 2013. In 2008 he founded the startup BioTrans GmbH and changed its name a few years later to ruBio GmbH based in Dresden.

Rudi had been a member of the supervisory board of 1. FC Dynamo Dresden for a number of years before he became club president in 2002. Under his leadership, the club achieved a significant debt reduction and promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga . He was instrumental in the not undisputed new construction of the Rudolf Harbig Stadium . He resigned from the post of club president on January 12, 2007 for personal reasons.
