Jochen Staschewski (born March 30, 1968 in Neustadt an der Waldnaab ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 2009 to 2014 he was State Secretary in the Thuringian Ministry of Economics, Technology and Labor.

Life

After leaving school, he completed an educator training and in 1992 passed the Abitur at the Bayernkolleg Schweinfurt . From 1992 he studied German, social studies and history in Regensburg and from 1993 in Jena to become a teacher.

From January 1998 to September 1999 Jochen Staschewski was a member of the state executive committee of the SPD Thuringia. From 1999 he worked in the Willy-Brandt-Haus as a member of the planning staff and advisor to the then Federal Managing Director of the SPD Matthias Machnig . There he was in charge of the East Germany division in KAMPA02 in 2002. After the federal election in 2002 , he became head of the ministerial office of the Federal Minister for Transport, Building and Housing Manfred Stolpe . From this position he became head of the office of party chairman Matthias Platzeck and head of the dialogue secretariat for the SPD's Hamburg program in December 2005 .

In September 2007, Jochen Staschewski became regional manager of the SPD on the initiative of SPD state chairman Christoph Matschie and was responsible for the state election campaign in 2009, after which the SPD joined the state government as a coalition partner of the CDU .

On November 4, 2009, after taking office under Christine Lieberknecht, Staschewski was appointed State Secretary in the Thuringian Ministry of Economics, Technology and Labor. Here he succeeded Christian Juckenack . After the resignation of Minister of Economics Matthias Machnig at the end of November 2013, he temporarily took over his office until his successor Uwe Höhn was sworn in . With the swearing-in of the Ramelow I cabinet on December 5, 2014, he resigned from office. From January 1, 2016, Staschewski has been the managing director of Lotto Thuringia.

Staschewski was elected as an assessor in the state executive committee of the SPD Thuringia in November 2018 .

Staschewski is married.
