Jochen Trinckauf

Jochen Trinckauf (born December 26, 1953 in Leipzig ) is a German traffic engineer and holder of the chair for traffic safety technology at the Faculty of Traffic Science "Friedrich List" at the Technical University of Dresden .

Life

Trinckauf studied traffic engineering at the University of Transportation from 1975 to 1979 . He wrote his diploma thesis in the field of automation technology at the technical traffic cybernetics section on the subject of the implementation of monitoring problems in a microcomputer-controlled stop light system (mHL) . In addition to his diploma, in 1979 he also took the test to become a dispatcher for the Deutsche Reichsbahn .

From 1979 to 1983 he worked as a research assistant at the chair for traffic safety technology at the University of Transportation. In November 1984 he did his doctorate at the faculty of technology and natural sciences at the same university on the subject of path crossing safety using a microcomputer - railway safety conception and software development processes .

From 1984 to 1990, Trinckauf worked as a development engineer for industrial railways in the Senftenberg lignite combine . From 1990 to 1992 he worked in sales for Alcatel-SEL . Between 1992 and 1998 various management positions followed in the field of railway safety technology.

In 1998, Trinckauf was appointed professor for traffic safety technology at the TU Dresden's traffic faculty as the successor to Wolfgang Fenner . Between 2003 and 2006 he was also Vice Dean of the Faculty of Transportation Sciences. Between 2000 and 2006 he worked for a company as managing director and later as an expert for railway safety technology.

Trinckauf has been a member of the editorial board of the Signal + Draht magazine since 1998 .

Trinckauf is an authorized expert of the Federal Railway Authority and several state railway supervisors . He is the scientific director of the Railway Safety Technology Competence Center he founded in 2007 .
