Jochen Voss (born September 18, 1938 in Parchim ) is a German jazz musician ( alto and soprano saxophone ).

Voss is a self-taught jazz musician . As early as the mid-1960s, he was a  participant in the amateur jazz festivals in Düsseldorf, Vienna and Zurich - partly as a member of Harald Eckstein's Bremen Sextet (soloist and group awards 1965/66). Since the late 1970s, his focus has been on playing in duo formations without a fixed rhythm section in order to play swinging jazz music with accentuated drive . First he went on tour with the pianist Klaus Ignatzek , then with the guitarist and film and theater composer Uli Harmsen; guitarist Thomas Brendgens-Mönkemeyer has been his partner since the early 1990s.

In addition to his concert activities, Voss worked in the field of jazz education, since 1981 as a teacher at the Oldenburg Music School. He has developed new concepts for teaching especially for wind players.
