Joda is a small town in the Indian state of Odisha .
The city is part of the Kendujhar District . Joda has the status of a municipality . The city is divided into 14 wards . On the cut-off date of the 2011 census it had a total of 46,631 inhabitants, of which 23,951 were men and 22,680 women. With a share of approx. 91%, Hindus form the largest group of the city's population, followed by Muslims with approx. 7% and Christians with approx. 1%. The literacy rate in 2011 was 72.16%.
The area is rich in iron and manganese ore and the economy is focused on the large-scale production of iron and manganese ore. The city also produces steel , including Tata Steel and Jindal Steel and Power .
The city is connected to the national rail network by a train station.
