Jodocus Ehrhart (from 1800 Jodocus von Ehrhart , born June 2, 1740 in Memmingen ; † July 24, 1805 ibid) was a German physician and city ​​physician of Memmingen.

Life

Jodocus Ehrhart was a son of the physician Balthasar Ehrhart and studied medicine with Ernst Anton Nicolai and Ernst Gottfried Baldinger at the University of Jena . After receiving his doctorate in 1761, he worked as a town doctor in Memmingen from 1762. In addition to practical medicine, his writings were mainly devoted to obstetrics. On March 14, 1772 he was given the academic surname Lysias II under the matriculation number. 765 elected a member of the Leopoldina . In 1800, Jodocus Ehrhart was raised to the nobility as Jodocus von Ehrhart, including his descendants.
