Joe Melia (actually Giovanni Philip William Melia ; born January 23, 1935 in Islington , † October 20, 2012 in Stratford-upon-Avon ) was a British actor .

Life

Melia was born the son of Italian immigrants who settled in Leicester during World War II . After school and service with the Intelligence Corps , he appeared on stage at Downing College, which led to a film role in Too Many Crooks in 1959 .
