Joerg Stadler

Joerg Stadler (* 1961 in the GDR ) is a German actor .

Life

From 1982 he had acting lessons in East Berlin, later acting training in West Berlin, as well as appearances as a small actor in many DEFA feature films - most recently in Die Architekten (1990) - and several small roles in plays at the Bertolt-Brecht-Theater Berliner Ensemble . From 1988 to 1989 Joerg Stadler produced, directed and played in an almost one-hour independent feature film Der Spitzel (B / W, 16 mm) based on an episode of the Bertolt Brecht play Fear and Misery of the Third Reich . The film was broadcast several times in the Offenen Kanal Berlin (OKB) until 1991 and shown in alternative cinemas in Berlin.

From 1991 to 1992, Stadler studied acting at the Michael Chekhov Studio Berlin . In 1992 he went to London to take method acting lessons and has lived in New Cross Gate ever since . Since 1993 he has been repeatedly cast in the role of the rigid Nazi in English and American television productions. In 1998 he became internationally known for his role in Steven Spielberg's Oscar-winning war film Saving Private Ryan .
