Johan Daniel van Hoven

Johan Daniel van Hoven (born August 20, 1705 in Hanau ; † 1793 in Kampen (Netherlands) ) was professor of history and eloquence in Lingen , as well as theology in Kampen .

Life

Van Hoven was born into a family who fled from the Netherlands . He studied at the Universities of Marburg and Utrecht . In 1728 he became professor of history and eloquence at the Academic Gymnasium in Lingen / Ems . He was appointed in 1739 consistory sit and vote with the Government of the Kingdom of Prussia belonging county Tecklenburg -Lingen. In 1757 he became professor of theology in Kampen.
