Johan Mohr Faye (born May 16, 1889 in Bergen , † September 16, 1974 in Drøbak ) was a Norwegian sailor .
successes
Johan Faye, of the Bergen Seilforening sailed, won in 1920 in Antwerp at the Olympic Games in the 7-meter class silver medal. He was skipper of the Fornebo , whose crew consisted of Sten Abel , Christian Dick and Niels Nielsen , which had only one competitor with the British boat Ancora of skipper Cyril Wright . The Fornebo won the first race, but the Ancora secured victory in the second and third races and thus finished the regatta in first place.
From 1915 to 1917 Faye was office manager at the State Provisions Commission , the following year he was manager at the newspaper Norges Handels og Sjøfartstidende for 15 years .
