Niels Marius Nielsen (born October 5, 1883 in Oslo , † February 9, 1961 in Bærum ) was a Norwegian sailor .
successes
Niels Nielsen, who at Kongelig Norsk Seilforening sailed, won in 1920 in Antwerp at the Olympic Games in the 7-meter class silver medal. He was a crew member of Fornebo , the rest of the crew consisted of Sten Abel and Christian Dick as well as skipper Johan Faye , which had only one competitor with the British boat Ancora from skipper Cyril Wright . The Fornebo won the first race, but the Ancora secured victory in the second and third races and thus finished the regatta in first place.
