Johan Verstrepen

Johan Verstrepen (born October 21, 1967 in Herentals ) is a Belgian cyclist .

Johan Verstrepen won a stage at Circuit Franco-Belge in 1989 . He then joined the Histor-Sigma cycling team . In 1992 he moved to GB-MG Maglificio for a year , where he won the GP Briek Schotte . After two years at Collstrop , he went to Vlaanderen 2002-Eddy Merckx for another four years in 1995 . In 1999 he switched to Lampre-Daikin , where he won a stage of the Étoile de Bessèges . In the same year he took part in the Tour de France for the first time , which he did not finish. Verstrepen has been driving for the Belgian Professional Continental Team Landbouwkrediet-Colnago since 2003 . At the end of the 2006 season he ended his long career.
