Johannes "Johan" de Kock (born October 25, 1964 in Sliedrecht ) is a former Dutch football player .
De Kock started his career at FC Groningen . In 1987 he moved to FC Utrecht . From 1994 to 1996 he played for Roda Kerkrade . For the 1996/97 season he moved to FC Schalke 04 . With FC Schalke 04, he won the 1997 UEFA Cup . In the second round he scored two goals in the second leg against Trabzonspor . After the 1999/2000 season he had to end his career due to injury.
With the Dutch national soccer team , de Kock took part in the 1996 European soccer championship . He was used there in four games.
Having studied road and hydraulic engineering, he was also involved in the construction of the arena on Schalke .
As a trainer, he was previously active in the amateur field. Initially he spent two years at vv Rheden before he gained further practical experience as an intern at De Graafschap and Roda Kerkrade . He then spent two years with Germania from Groesbeek , which he brought to second in the first year and to first place in their league in the second year. During the 2008/09 season, de Kock took over the coaching position at Groesbeek local rivals De Treffers , who played in the top amateur class . In the following season, the hits became champions and rose to the top class , in which they reached fifth place in 2010. When his team only finished tenth in October of the 2010/11 season and was only three points ahead of a relegation zone, the club ended their cooperation.
In December 2013 de Kock was appointed to the supervisory board of the Koninklijke Nederlandse Voetbal Bond for three years .
