Johann Agricola Eisleben

Johann Agricola Eisleben (* before 1560 ; † October 19, 1594 ) was a German politician and mayor of Berlin .

Life

Johann Agricola Eisleben was the son of Johannes Agricola , who was nicknamed Eisleben or Islebius after his hometown Eisleben . Johann Agricola Eisleben was elected mayor of Berlin in 1574 , which at that time was not yet united with the sister city of Cölln . Among other things, he was the owner of the so-called Hohen Weinberg northwest of Berlin.

Initially, his office was exercised by Thomas Matthias . On February 18, 1575, Johann Agricola Eisleben took the oath of mayor and took up his position, which he held until his death on October 19, 1594.
