Johann Albrecht Drost

Johann Albrecht Drost (born March 7, 1816 in Jever , † December 20, 1884 in Oldenburg (Oldenburg) ) was a German judge and parliamentarian.

Life

Johann Albrecht Drost studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1835 he became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Heidelberg . After completing his studies, he joined the Oldenburg judicial service, was an accessist in Jever and became a regional court assessor in Ovelgönne . Later he was a magistrate and judge at the local court . From 1865 until his retirement in 1879 he was a member of the State Court of Justice in Oldenburg.

From 1848 to 1851 Drost was a member of the Oldenburg State Parliament . He wrote his childhood memories in Low German.
