Johann Anton Tritt von Wilderen , also Johannes Antonius , (* July 21, 1586 in Konstanz ; † February 8, 1639 ) was auxiliary bishop in Konstanz .

Life

Johann Anton Tritt von Wilderen was ordained priest on April 8, 1613 for the Diocese of Constance. On September 9, 1619 he was appointed titular bishop of Tiberias and appointed auxiliary bishop in the diocese of Constance.

Tritt von Wilderen was elected President of the Spiritual Council in Constance in 1627 , Cathedral Cantor in 1629, and Cathedral Custodian in 1630 .

He was a college friend of Bartholomäus Ehinger , abbot of the imperial abbey of Ochsenhausen from 1618 to 1632. The abbot found refuge in the house of Johann Anton Tritt von Wilderen in Constance and died there during the Thirty Years' War ( Swedish War ).
