Johann Baptist Ambrosi
Johann Baptist Ambrosi (born April 5, 1741 in Selnitz , Kingdom of Hungary , today Slovakia, † February 22, 1796 in Berlin ) was a Lutheran theologian and pastor.
Ambrosi studied Protestant theology at the University of Halle , where Gotthilf August Francke supported him. Here he was also involved as a proofreader on the work for a Bohemian Bible, which was printed at the expense of the Berlin Bohemian Community . From 1770 he was the first preacher and inspector in Havelberg . On March 22, 1773 he was appointed preacher at the Gertraudenkirche in Berlin; at the same time he was consistorial councilor and inspector of the Berlin and Rixdorf Bohemian Lutheran communities.
