Johann Baptist Cratz

Johann Baptist Cratz (also Kratz ) (born July 30, 1779 in Oestrich ; † April 15, 1858 ibid) was a German winery owner and member of parliament.

Life

Cratz was the son of the high school Eucharius Joseph Cratz († before 1825) and his wife Maria Barbara nee Baratzi (Barazzi) (born March 13, 1742 in Oestrich; † April 15, 1828 ibid), the daughter of the merchant Karl Alois Baratzi and his Wife Elisabeth Frenzioni. Cratz, who was a Catholic denomination, married on April 26, 1801 in Winkel Catharina born Krayer (born January 24, 1777 in Winkel, † February 11, 1840 in Oestrich), the daughter of Johann Adam Krayer and Anna Maria Beringer.

Cratz lived as a winery owner and innkeeper in Oestrich.

1846–1848 he was a member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Landtag of the Duchy of Nassau , elected from the group of landowners, constituency Wiesbaden. In 1848 he became a member of the Frankfurt preliminary parliament .
