Johann Baptist Herb
Johann Baptist Herb (born January 31, 1806 in Warching , † June 28, 1890 in Munich ) was a German theologian .
Life
He studied philosophy at the Dillingen University of Applied Sciences and theology at the LMU Munich . After being ordained priest on August 28, 1832 in Eichstätt and receiving his doctorate in 1834 as Dr. theol. in Munich he taught from 1835 to 1840 as a high school professor and director of the boys' college in Freising . In 1840 he became professor for dogmatics at the LMU Munich. In 1844 he was appointed senior church and school councilor in the Ministry of the Interior. In 1847 he became cathedral chapter in the metropolitan chapter in Munich.
