Johann Baptist Kletzinsky
Johann Baptist Kletzinsky ( Polish Jan Baptysta Kleczyński; born June 14, 1756 in Karviná , † August 6, 1828 in Vienna ) was an Austro-Polish composer, conductor and violinist.
He studied music in Lviv and / or Krakow .
From 1786 to 1792 he worked as a violinist and conductor of the orchestra of Countess Marie Josephe Breuner in Venice . Afterwards he was employed as a musician at the court of Prince Antal Grassalkovics von Gyarack in Pressburg and Vienna.
From 1795 he lived in Vienna, where he became a member of the Tonkünstler Society in 1796 and its concertmaster from 1811 to 1825.
In 1801 he became a violinist and from 1804 conductor of the Vienna Court Music Orchestra . He also worked in the Burgtheater and in the Kärntnertortheater .
