Johann Benjamin von Hasslocher

Johann Benjamin von Hasslocher (* 1704 in Frankfurt am Main ; † July 17, 1771 ) was a royal Prussian colonel and chief of Garrison Regiment No. 5 .

Life

Military career

He went into Prussian service in 1722 and was transferred to Infantry Regiment No. 13 (Dönhoff). There he was on April 19, 1723 Second Lieutenant and in 1738 Premier Lieutenant. On March 3, 1740, he was promoted to staff captain. With this rank he was transferred to Garrison Regiment No. 5 (Mützschesahl), where he received his own company. He rose further and became major in 1748, lieutenant colonel in March 1757 and colonel in May 1761. In 1770 he was appointed chief of the regiment. He died the following year.

In his 49 years of service he had participated in all of Frederick II's campaigns and was able to excel in defending a convoy to Olomouc.
