Johann Bere († 1457)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Johann Bere (* in Lübeck ; † April 27, 1457 in Lübeck) was councilor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.

Life

Johann Bere was the son of the eponymous mayor of Lübeck, Johann Bere . Possibly he can be identified with the "Johannes Beer" who studied at the University of Rostock from 1421 . In 1447 he became a member of the patrician circle society and after the death of his father in 1455 he was elected to the Lübeck council. Bere was married to Mechthild, a daughter of Detlef Bonhorst from Lübeck, and lived in the property on Königstrasse 39 . He was buried together with his pre-deceased wife in the church of the castle monastery in front of the high altar. The grave slab is documented but not preserved.

His brother Ludeke Bere also became a councilor three years after his death.

His daughter Heileke (Hedwig, 1446–1511) married the councilor Johann von Wickede (1436–1475) and became a mother a. a. of the son Thomas von Wickede .
