Johann Boos (born June 20, 1944 in Aitrach ) is a German mathematician .

Life

From 1966 to 1971 he studied mathematics and physics at the University of Tübingen . In July 1970 / January 1971 he passed the scientific examination for teaching at grammar schools in mathematics as the first / physics as the second major. After obtaining his doctorate in January 1972 (Mathematics Department at the University of Tübingen; Reporters: Wolfgang Beekmann , Helmut H. Schaefer , Karl Zeller ). After his habilitation in July 1977 (mathematics department at the University of Tübingen; reporters: Wolfgang Beekmann, Werner Meyer-König , Karl Zeller), he was awarded the venia legendi by the Senate of the University of Tübingen in September 1977 . After the re- habilitation in June 1978 by the Senate Commission of the Mathematics Department of the FernUniversität Hagen, he was appointed Professor (C2) for Mathematics in Hagen on October 4, 1982 .

His main research interests are the topologization of sequence spaces via Fréchet spaces, FK (X) spaces, Lφ spaces, compatibility of SM and matrix methods, dual sequence spaces, sequence spaces with weakly sequence-complete β-duals and comparison of matrix methods using quotient representation.
