Johann Carl Friedrich Leune

Johann Carl Friedrich Leune (born January 21, 1757 in Schladebach , today part of Leuna , †  January 23, 1825 in Leipzig ) was a German medic.

Life

Leune studied from 1782 in Leipzig, where he also received his doctorate in 1797 and then taught for many years, both in physiology and general pathology as well as in ophthalmology . He wrote several scientific writings and also worked as a translator of relevant works.
