Schladebach is a district of the village of Kötzschau in the city of Leuna in the Saale district (Saxony-Anhalt).

geography

Schladebach is located between Merseburg and Leipzig east of the Saale on the state border with Saxony . The stream , which is dammed in the Schladebach reservoir, flows through the village .

history

Schladebach was first mentioned in a document in 1012. The village was until 1815 the easternmost point of the Bishopric of Merseburg associated Office Merseburg , which since 1561 under electoral Saxon stood sovereignty and between 1656/57 and 1738 for Sekundogenitur -Fürstentum Saxe-Merseburg belonged. The decisions of the Congress of Vienna the place came in 1815 to Prussia and in 1816 the county Merseburg in the administrative district of Merseburg of the Province of Saxony allocated.

On July 1, 1950, Schladebach was incorporated into Kötzschau, with which it came to Leuna on December 31, 2009. The Kötzschau Railway Museum was located in Schladebach until 2012.

In 1880, the Royal Prussian Mining Administration initiated a deep borehole near Schladebach under the supervision of Karl Köbrich to search for hard coal, but also to obtain information about brine sources . Karl von Fritsch recorded the profile . In 1884 the borehole exceeded the world's deepest borehole at Klein Nordende by 410 m at 1748 m , and in 1893 the depth record was set at Paruschowitz in Upper Silesia at 2003 m . These two deep boreholes were also accompanied by Köbrich.
