Johann Christoph Besch (born March 20, 1937 in Hamburg ; † February 27, 2011 ) was a German civil servant and member of parliament ( CDU ).

Johann Christoph Besch was chief ministerial director until 2000, most recently as head of the scientific service of the Bundestag . He was for the CDU, Landesliste Schleswig-Holstein, as the successor to Karl Carstens from July 3, 1979 Member of the Bundestag. In 2001 he received the Great Federal Cross of Merit .
