Johann Depken

Johann Depken (born January 30, 1837 in Schwachhausen near Bremen ; † July 11, 1909 in Bremen) was a farmer and member of the German Reichstag .

biography

Depken attended the Remberti elementary school in Bremen from 1843 to 1853 . From January 1, 1879, he was the head of the community in Schwachhausen, from 1868 chairman of the Chamber of Agriculture in Bremen and from 1875 chairman of the Agricultural Council for the Bremen area. He was also a member of various deputations of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen and since 1867 a member of the Bremen citizenship .

From 1898 to 1907 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Province of Hanover 17 ( Harburg , Rotenburg in Hanover , Zeven ) and the National Liberal Party .

The Johann-Depken-Weg was named after him in Bremen-Schwachhausen .
