Johann Ernst von Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rochefort (born June 14, 1667 in Wertheim , † July 26, 1731 in Aachen ) was Bishop of Tournai .
Life
Johann Ernst was the son of Count Ferdinand Karl zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rochefort (* 1616; † 1672) and his wife Anna Maria von Fürstenberg-Heiligenberg (* 1634; † 1705), daughter of Ernst Egon von Fürstenberg-Heiligenberg . One of his 13 siblings was Maximilian Karl .
Johann Ernst was appointed bishop of Tournai and the appointment on May 22, 1713 by Pope Clemens XI. approved. He received his episcopal ordination on February 25 of the following year. Two years later he also became prince abbot of the Stablo and Malmedy monasteries .
