Johann Friedrich Bremermann
Johann Friedrich Bremermann (born September 22, 1842 in Bremen , † October 18, 1913 in Bremen) was a German shipping merchant and director at North German Lloyd .
biography
Bremermann came from a small background. He trained at a Bremen shipping company for tugs. This company was taken over by the shipping company Norddeutscher Lloyd (NDL) when it was founded in 1857. Bremermann worked as a capable organizer in the shipping company's provisions department and became its department head in 1868. In 1892 he became director of the provisions office and member of the board of the NDL in the times of great growth of the shipping company under the board of directors Heinrich Wiegand and Philipp Heineken . At the same time, he was on the supervisory board of various companies that the NDL controlled or with which he had economic relationships. He died unexpectedly at the work table. He was a member of the Bremen Masonic Lodge Zur Hansa .
