Johann Friedrich von Drouart

Johann Friedrich von Drouart (* July 22, 1713 in Kleve ; † May 16, 1794 Nimptsch in Silesia) was the royal Prussian major general and commander of the garrison regiment No. 2 .

Life

origin

His father was the Prussian captain and square major of Wesel Moritz Samuel von Drouart, his mother his wife Elisabeth de Lauvidon.

Military career

He first came to the court of the Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm I as a page. On April 25, 1734, he joined the Dragoon Regiment No. 1 (Platen) as an ensign . On May 31, 1733 he was second lieutenant. On April 16, 1741, the No. 1 regiment was divided and he was transferred to the newly established Dragoon Regiment No. 9 , where he was promoted to Premier-Lieutenant on October 27, 1743. In the Second Silesian War he fought in the Battle of Kesselsdorf . On June 8, 1750 he was made captain of the staff and on July 27, 1753 he was given permission to serve with the Gensdarmes . On October 9, 1756 he became a captain and company commander in Garrison Regiment No. 2 with a patent from September 6, 1756. On February 15, 1760 he was major and on September 22, 1767 lieutenant colonel and commander of the regiment. On June 22, 1772 he became a colonel and on January 23, 1783 he received his resignation with a pension of 200 thalers, and on February 5, 1783 he was given the character of major general. He died on May 16, 1794 in Nimptsch.

family

He was married Johanna Juliane von Ohlen and Adlerskron (* 1731, † March 30, 1797) daughter of the royal Prussian forest commissioner Joachim von Ohlen and Adlerscron on Boguslawitz. The couple had several children including:

  • Charlotte Sophie (* 1762; † July 7, 1795) ⚭ NN Wendland
  • Johann Friedrich Moritz (* 1761; † January 2, 1840) ⚭ 1793 Charlotte Frederike Amalie von Goldfuss
