Johann Gabriel Meder
Johann Gabriel Meder (born July 27, 1729 in Zimmersupra ; buried on December 3, 1800 in Amsterdam ) was a German composer who worked in the Netherlands .
Life
Little is known about Meder's life. Around 1760 he settled in Amsterdam, where he gave numerous concerts in which he also presented his own cantatas and oratorios . In 1767 he composed the cantata La contesa e la pace for the wedding of William V of Orange , governor of the Netherlands, to Princess Wilhelmine of Prussia .
