Johann Georg "Hansjörg" Hasler (born January 7, 1895 in Eschen ; † May 16, 1976 in St. Gallen ) was a Liechtenstein politician ( VU ).

Johann Georg Hasler was born in 1895 as the son of Franz Hasler and his wife Josefa (nee Ritter). He had two sisters and six brothers. After finishing school, he completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter and worked as such. When his brother died later at the age of 26, Hasler learned the bakery trade to take over his father's bakery. Hasler had been married to Paula Gstöhl since May 5, 1920. The marriage produced five sons. After his wedding, he added a grocery store to the bakery. After his wife's death, he handed over the bakery to his eldest son, moved in with his youngest son and worked as a farmer on his farm.

Political career

His political career began in the People's Party . After 1936 he became active in the Fatherland Union , in which the People's Party was absorbed. From 1939 to 1941 he was Deputy Executive Council before he himself finally from 1941 to 1945 as the Government acted. Hasler was a member of the State Parliament of the Principality of Liechtenstein for many years . As deputy member from 1939 to 1945, from June 1953 to 1957 and from 1958 to 1962, and as member from 1949 to 1953 and from 1957 to 1958.

Furthermore, he sat on the board of directors of Press- und Stanzwerk AG from 1941 to 1944, was a member of the state school board from 1945 to 1955 and was a member of the board of directors of the Liechtenstein power plants from 1947 to 1959 . From 1951 to 1963 he held the office of mayor of Eschen.

Hasler died as a result of a femoral neck operation in the St. Gallen Cantonal Hospital .
