List of members of the Liechtenstein Parliament (Jun 1953)

This list shows the members of the Landtag of the Principality of Liechtenstein , which emerged from the elections on June 14, 1953. The second election in 1953 became necessary after the Fatherland Union (VU) had claimed the majority of the seats on the Board of Directors of the Old Age and Survivors' Insurance (AHV) after the first election in February 1953 . The FBP blocked this project, however, which led to the VU leaving the state parliament. As this meant that fewer than two thirds of the members of parliament were in the state parliament, it lost its quorum. The state parliament was dissolved on May 13, 1953 and new elections were ordered.
Of 3,398 eligible voters, 3,173 people took part in the election (93.4%). Of the votes cast, 3107 were valid. The votes and mandates were distributed in the two constituencies - Oberland and Unterland - as follows:
