List of members of the Liechtenstein Parliament (Apr 1926)
This list shows the members of the Landtag of the Principality of Liechtenstein , which emerged from the Landtag elections of April 5, 1926. After the Christian Social People's Party (VP) and the Progressive Citizens' Party (FBP) were unable to agree on a joint government council after the election in January 1926, early elections became necessary.
To be elected to the state parliament, you needed an absolute majority of all votes cast, with each voter having as many votes as there were candidates to be elected. If several candidates achieved an absolute majority of the votes, those with the most votes were drawn. Seven MPs were elected in the Oberland constituency and five in the Unterland constituency. Since all candidates achieved an absolute majority in the first ballot, there were no run-off elections afterwards.
List of members
In Oberland 1,365 votes were counted, which means that a candidate needed at least 683 votes to enter the state parliament. In the Unterland 725 votes were cast, so 363 votes were enough.
