List of members of the Liechtenstein Parliament (1945)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This list shows the members of the Landtag of the Principality of Liechtenstein that emerged from the elections on April 29, 1945. This election was the first after the end of World War II and ended the election period that Prince Franz Josef II extended indefinitely in 1943 for the security and welfare of the state. In doing so, he relied on Article 10 of the Liechtenstein Constitution and promised in his Princely Ordinance of February 18, 1943 to dissolve the Landtag at the best possible time and to order new elections. Proportional suffrage, introduced in 1939, was used for the first time in the 1945 election.
