The Nam Tok Sai Khao National Park ( Thai : อุทยานแห่งชาติ น้ำตก ทรายขาว , RTGS : Uthayan Haeng Chat Nam Tok Sai Khao) is a national park in the southern region of Thailand .

geography

The national park is located in the districts ( Amphoe ) Khok Pho of Pattani province , Saba Yoi of Songkhla province and Yaha and Mueang Yala of Yala province . It is 69.57 km² in size. It has a mountainous topography because it is located in the middle of the Sankarakhiri Mountains. Many rivers arise in it that are tributaries of the Maenam Thepha ( แม่น้ำ เทพา - Thepha River).

Attractions

In the park there are numerous waterfalls worth seeing, such as

• Nam Tok Sai Khao (Thai: น้ำตก ทรายขาว , white sand waterfall ) - he gave the national park its name. It falls over a length of about 400 meters from a 40 meter high cliff. It lies in the middle of a dense forest
• Nam Tok Aran Warin (Thai: น้ำตก อรัญ วาริ นท ร์ ) - it falls from a height of 20 meters in seven steps over a length of about 400 meters
• Nam Tok Phong Phong (Thai: น้ำตก โผง โผง ) - from a height of 80 meters, the water falls in seven steps into a small pond that is surrounded by many tall trees

A hiking trail, the "Sankarakhiri Mountain Trekking Trail," has also been created to explain the fauna and flora of the park to tourists.
