The National Park Chaloem Rattanakosin ( Thai : อุทยานแห่งชาติ เฉลิม รัตนโกสินทร์ ) is a national park in the province ( Changwat ) Kanchanaburi in central Thailand .

history

The Chaloem Rattanakosin was opened in February 1980 as the 17th national park.

location

The Chaloem Rattanakosin National Park is the smallest of the national parks in Kanchanaburi Province at 59 square kilometers.

topography

The area of ​​the national park is characterized by steep sandstone mountain slopes covered by evergreen rainforest. Not only are there numerous waterfalls and mysterious caves , but also the natural watershed of the Mae Nam Mae Klong (Mae Klong River) .

The highest elevation of the park is the Khao Kam Phaeng (Thai: ยอด เขา กำแพง ) with 1260 meters, here is the headwaters of the Mae Klong.
