The Khlong Wang Chao National Park ( Thai : อุทยานแห่งชาติ คลอง วัง เจ้า ) is a national park in Thailand . It is located in the northwest region of the country.
history
It was named the 63rd National Park in Thailand on August 29, 1990.
geography
The national park covers an area of 747 km², it is located in the districts ( Amphoe ) Khlong Lan , Kosamphi Nakhon , the province Kamphaeng Phet and the district Wang Chao of the province Tak .
The park consists of the Thanon Thong Chai mountain range with the Khao Yen (1898 meters) as the highest point. Other mountains are the Khao Tao Dam, Khao Son and Khao Khanun.

Flora and fauna
The Khlong Wang Chao National Park is home to mixed and deciduous forests as well as dipterocarp forests . About 65 percent of the national park is covered with mixed forests at an altitude of 200 to 1000 meters. In the northeast of the park you will find the dry dipterocarp forests at an altitude of between 200 and 800 meters. At the altitude between 900 and 1200 meters you will find preferably pine forests. The park is the habitat of many different plant species and is home to a rich variety of animals.

The national park is home to a variety of large and small wild animals:
- Muntjacs
- Pig badger
- Double hornbill
- Caliphatic pheasant
- Hornbill ( Rhyticeros undulatus ) (Thai: นก เงือก กรามช้าง )
- Laced woodpecker ( Picus vittatus ) (Thai: นก หัวขวาน เขียว ป่า ไผ่ )
- Kappenliest ( Halcyon pileata ) (Thai: นก กะ เต็ น หัว ดำ )
Attractions
There are various waterfalls, hot springs and caves in Huai Nam Dang National Park:
- Khlong Wang Chao Waterfall is a single-tier waterfall. The water falls about 60 meters.
- The Khlong Samo Waterfall is a five-tiered waterfall, with the water falling from about 40 meters.
- The Tao Dam Waterfall is a three-tier waterfall that cascades from about 270 meters
- Pong Nam Ron, Nam Ron Hot Spring - The temperature of the spring is around 50–70 ° C.
