Amphoe Kosamphi Nakhon ( Thai อำเภอ โก สั ม พี นคร ) is a district ( Amphoe - Administrative District) in the northwestern part of Kamphaeng Phet Province . The Kamphaeng Phet Province is located in the northern region of Thailand .

geography

The district of Kosamphi Nakhon is located in the northwest of the province of Kamphaeng Phet and, when viewed from the northeast, borders on the Amphoe Phran Kratai , Mueang Kamphaeng Phet of the Province of Kamphaeng Phet and the Amphoe Wang Chao and Mueang Tak in the Province of Tak .

The main sources of water are the Mae Nam Ping and Wang Chao rivers .

history

On July 15, 1996 Kosamphi Nakhon was initially set up as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by being separated from the Amphoe Mueang Kamphaeng Phet.

On May 15, 2007 the Thai government decided to raise all 81 King Amphoe to simple amphoe status in order to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette "Issue 124 chapter 46" on August 24, 2007 this decision officially entered into force.

In the district there are three " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)

  • Kosamphi (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล โก สั ม พี ) consisting of the complete tambon Kosamphi.
  • Phet Chomphu (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล เพชร ชม ภู ) consisting of the complete tambon Phet Chomphu.
  • Lan Dokmai Tok (Thai: องค์การ บริหารส่วน ตำบล ลาน ดอกไม้ ตก ) consisting of the complete tambon Lan Dokmai Tok.
