Amphoe Lan Krabue ( Thai : อำเภอ ลาน กระบือ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the northeastern part of Kamphaeng Phet Province . The Kamphaeng Phet Province is located in the northern region of Thailand .

The area around Lan Krabue is bounded by the following area (clockwise from the south): Sai Ngam and Phran Kratai in Kamphaeng Phet Province, Khiri Mat in Sukhothai Province , Bang Rakam Area in Phitsanulok Province and Wachirabarami Area in Phichit Province .

history

The area of ​​Lan Krabue was covered in dense forest in the past. As a result of the many brines, numerous native water buffalo ( Bubalus bubalis ) came here, whereupon the people who moved here called their new community Ban Lan Khwai. Khwai ( ควาย ) is the Thai name of the buffalo. After more and more people settled here, the government upgraded the village to a Tambon Lan Krabue.

The Amphoe Lan Krabue was created on June 16, 1977 initially as a “branch circle” ( King Amphoe ) after the two Tambon Lan Krabue and Chong Lom were separated from Phran Kratai . On July 16, 1984, it was upgraded to a fully authorized Amphoe.

There are three municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Pracha Suk San (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ประชา สุขสันต์ ) consisting of the complete Tambon Pracha Suk San.
  • Lan Krabue (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ลาน กระบือ ) consisting of the parts of the Tambon Lan Krabue, Non Phluang.
  • Chong Lom (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ช่องลม ) consisting of the complete Tambon Chong Lom.

There are also five " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)

  • Lan Krabue (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ลาน กระบือ ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Lan Krabue.

  • Bueng Thap Raet (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล บึง ทับ แร ต ) consisting of the complete tambon Bueng Thap Raet.
  • Chanthima (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล จันทิมา ) consisting of the complete Tambon Chanthima.
