Amphoe Khiri Mat ( Thai : อำเภอ คีรีมาศ ) is the southernmost district ( Amphoe - administrative district) of Sukhothai Province . Sukhothai Province is located in the northern region of Thailand .
geography
Neighboring counties (clockwise from northwest): the Ban Dan Lan Hoi , Mueang Sukhothai and Kong Krailat districts of Sukhothai Province, and Bang Rakam of Phitsanulok Province and Phran Kratai of Kamphaeng Phet Province .
history
The circle was originally called Tannot and was renamed Khiri Mat in 1939.

Local administration
There are two small towns ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:
- Thung Luang ( เทศบาล ตำบล ทุ่ง หลวง ) consists of the entire tambon of the same name.
- Ban Tanot ( เทศบาล ตำบล บ้าน โตนด ) consists of parts of the Tambon Tanot.
There are also nine "Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) for the tambon in the district that do not belong to any city.
