Amphoe Si Nakhon ( Thai : อำเภอ ศรีนคร ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the east of Sukhothai Province . Sukhothai Province is located in the northern region of Thailand .

Neighboring counties (from the southwest clockwise): the Amphoe Sawankhalok and Si Satchanalai of Sukhothai Province, and Tron and Phichai of Uttaradit Province .

history

Si Nakhon was set up on January 20, 1976 initially as a subdistrict ( King Amphoe ), consisting of the two tambon Si Sakhon and Nakhon Doet of the Amphoe Sawankhalok . On July 13, 1981, Si Nakhon received full Amphoe status.

Local administration

Si Nakhon ( เทศบาล ตำบล ศรีนคร ) is a small town ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district. It consists of parts of the tambon of the same name .

There are also five “Tambon Administrative Organizations” (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Administrative Organizations) for the tambon in the district that do not belong to any city.
