Amphoe Si Samrong ( Thai : อำเภอ ศรีสำโรง ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in Sukhothai Province . Sukhothai Province is located in the northern region of Thailand .

geography

Neighboring districts are (from the south clockwise) Amphoe Mueang Sukhothai , Ban Dan Lan Hoi , Thung Saliam and Sawankhalok province Sukhothai Province and Amphoe Phrom Phiram the province of Phitsanulok .

The main water resource is the Mae Nam Yom (Yom River) .

history

The district was renamed from Khlong Tan to Si Samrong in 1939.

Local administration

Si Samrong (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ศรีสำโรง ) is a small town ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district, it consists of parts of the Tambon Khlong Tan and Sam Ruean.

There are also 12 “Tambon Administrative Organizations” (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) for the tambon in the district that do not belong to any city.
