Amphoe Wang Chao ( Thai อำเภอ วัง เจ้า ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the east of Tak Province . The Tak Province is located in the northern region of Thailand .
geography
Amphoe Wang Chao is located in the east of Tak Province. Important sources of water are the Mae Nam Ping (Ping River) and the smaller Wang Chao .
Neighboring Amphoe are clockwise from the west: Phop Phra and Mueang Tak in Tak Province, Kosamphi Nakhon , Mueang Kamphaeng Phet and Phran Kratai in Kamphaeng Phet Province .
history
Wang Chao was initially formed as a small district ( King Amphoe ) , with parts of the Amphoe Mueang Tak being outsourced.
On May 15, 2007 the Thai government decided to raise all 81 King Amphoe to simple amphoe status in order to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette "Issue 124 chapter 46" on August 24, 2007 this decision officially entered into force.
Attractions
- The Khlong Wang Chao National Park (Thai: อุทยานแห่งชาติ คลอง วัง เจ้า ) is a Thai national park , it is located in the southern part of the district and in the province of Kamphaeng Phet.

The motto of Wang Chao is roughly: Entrance gate to Tak, with different cultures, the main products maize and longan, many charming waterfalls, the Khlong Wang Chao National Park and beautiful weaving products .

Local administration
Wang Chao (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล วัง เจ้า ) is a small town ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district. It consists of parts of the Tambon Chiang Thong.
There are also three “Tambon Administrative Organizations” (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) for the tambon in the district that do not belong to any city.
