The Huai Nam Dang National Park ( Thai : อุทยานแห่งชาติ ห้วย น้ำ ดัง ) is a national park in Thailand . It is located in the northern region of the country.

history

Due to the 100th anniversary of the Royal Forest Department , Huai Nam Dang was named the 81st National Park of Thailand on August 14, 1995.

geography

The national park covers an area of ​​1252.12 km², it is located in the districts ( Amphoe ) Mae Taeng , Wiang Haeang , Chiang Dao of the province of Chiang Mai and the district of Pai of the province of Mae Hong Son . In the north, the national park borders the border with Myanmar . The park consists of the Chiang Dao mountain range with Doi Chang (1962 meters) as the highest point. The Huai Nam Dang is the origin of various streams - such as the Huai Mae Yen Klang, Huai Mae Hi, Huai Mae Ping, Huai Mae Chok Luang and Huai Nam Dang - which later flow into the Mae Nam Pai, Mae Nam Ping Noi and Mae Nam rivers Dang flow.
