Johann Georg II. (Saxony-Eisenach)
Johann Georg II. (* July 24, 1665 in Friedewald ; † November 10, 1698 in Eisenach ) was Duke of Saxony-Eisenach and came from the Ernestine line of the House of Wettin .
Johann Wilhelm was born the son of Duke Johann Georg I of Saxony-Eisenach and his wife Johanetta von Sayn-Wittgenstein . After the death of his father in 1686 he became the ruling Duke of Saxony-Eisenach. On September 20, 1688 he married in Kirchheim under Teck Sophie Charlotte (1671–1717), daughter of Duke Eberhard III. von Württemberg and his second wife Maria Dorothea Sophia von Oettingen .
He died childless of smallpox at the age of 33; after his death, his younger brother Johann Wilhelm inherited the ducal throne.
