Johann Georg lamp

Johann Georg Lampe (* before 1775 in Hamburg ; † June 5, 1813 ) was a German Lutheran theologian and clergyman .

Life

Johann Georg Lampe turned to study theology in Helmstedt and then, on June 9, 1775, became a theological candidate in Hamburg . In April 1781 the heads of the German Lutheran congregation in Arkhangelsk were looking for a preacher for their congregation and turned to Hamburg Senator Dorner. When this lamp recommended, he was ordained on May 9th in Hamburg and now traveled to Arkhangelsk.

On July 21, 1783, Lampe was appointed preacher of the German-speaking St. Petri Congregation in St. Petersburg . There he looked after the poor and the sick in particular, so he founded an association for the nursing of the poor with his friend Guckenberger.
